WHO WE ARE

MICAIA Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in Mozambique with statutes approved by the Council of Ministers of Mozambique.

The Foundation has a board of ten who represent specialist areas of knowledge including forestry, enterprise development, rural finance, and agriculture. The Foundation’s President is Dr Teresa Alves, a Mozambican forestry expert.

The Foundation also has a Finance Committee responsible for financial oversight and audit. In addition to members of the Board, the Finance Committee has two external specialist members, including a representative of the Foundation’s auditors.

MICAIA Foundation’s senior management team consists of an Executive Director (Milagre Nuvunga), Director of Programmes (Andrew Kingman), and Regional Programme Managers.
